SRM University in association with PapyrusClubs organized an event called "Engine Room", a first of its kind exhibition cum workshop on the future of engineering and career options for the years to come on the 24th and 25th of January at the SRM University campus.

The workshop consisted of 6 modules on Emerging Technologies.  The event was dedicated to Std.XII students, parents and teachers.  Sessions were conducted by industry professionals from Cognizant, Nokia, DLF, Ramco, Hindustan Motors, and Siemens.  The sessions gave the students, parents, teachers a rich overview of the trends and opportunities in various streams of engineering.  The subsequent Q & A session and interactions with experts from Industry gave the students a clearer understanding of what lies ahead in these fields of engineering.  All the inputs during the sessions, and their exposure to the facilities at SRM University attempted to assist the students in making their choice regarding the engineering course that they wish to pursue.  The event concluded to the delight of all present - Students, Teachers, Parents, Speakers and Organizers.
