Children’s day competitions By Shreenithi (IX)29/11/2007 This year’s list of competitions included Rangoli, Flower arrangement and food without fire for the seniors and the likes of junk art, fancy dress, drawings & paintings, recitations, clay modeling, greeting card making, etc for the juniors.
Colour powder, rock salt, “kolamaavu” (white flour), chalk, perspiration, chatter… This was the scene at the terrace where the rangoli competition was taking place. Teams comprising nearly 6 students were filling up their chalked out designs on the floor with gay colours.
