We are proud to inform that our students won prizes in sports events like weight lifting, shotput, athlet, throwing events, shuttle cork, throw ball etc. Mr.S.Murugan B.Sc., B.P.Ed, N.I.S., District Sports Officer, Dindugal who was the chief guest distributed the prizes. He said “It is the right time to develop our career not only in studies but also in sports events”

The Department of commerce conducted a one day intercollegiate seminar on
February 16, 2008.It provided Opportunities for B.Com ,B.Com(CA) and B.B.A Students to exhibit their potentials, talents and update their knowledge. Dr.S.Kayarkanni (Reader in Economics)the chief guest gave a seminar on “IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION IN INDIAN BUSSINESS AND CULTURE”.Several colleges participated in the competitions such as Paper Presentation, Mind maze,Waves and Blaze,Fashion parade etc.The Mangayarkarasi college for Women,Madurai received the Overall rolling shield for this year.

BACK TO TRADITION
Our traditional festival, pongal was recently celebrated by our college on 11.1.2008. It was a colourful day. All girls were asked to come in traditional wear,saree. The final year students actively prepared the PONGAL with zeal. Some of the traditional events like Rangoli, kummi, uriadi competitions on that particular day made our students to feel at home.
