Stella Maris turns 60 in August 2007

This all women’s college completed this feat with aplomb. The college has consistently produced Scholars in different disciplines over the years. The Alumni base now stands at 52000 and will naturally grow larger. Dr.Sr.Annamma Philip, F.M.M. the current principal spoke at function in the College, recalling the services of former Principals, faculty, alumnae and well-wishers of the college.
 
The college has always strived to create a balance between convention and modernity. This is reflected in the courses offered by the college. They range from Arts and humanities at one end thro Pure Science, Public Relations, International Studies, Computer Applications, Bio-Technology, Bio- Informatics at the other end.
 
Many old students have sent in their best wishes on this occasion fondly cherishing their passage thro the distinguished corridors of Stella Maris, Chennai.
