Youth, freedom and peer pressure

Are students today socially, culturally and morally aware? Do they make intelligent choices or is mob mentality still a large influence over their lives?
There is no doubt whatsoever that children today have plenty of opportunities and choices, but are they informed enough to make sensible enough ones! At the impressionable age they are in, it is not always easy to be an individual and take the road less traveled.
Children often do whatever their friends do, as it is the easier path to follow, than what could be right for them. It is necessary to be open to ideas and listen to others’ experiences, be it choosing a career, writing exams or even just deciding what movie to watch, but it is more important to be independent and have a mind of one’s own and use it wisely.
Few pointers to keep in mind:
Do not let your peers dictate your personality, do not let media and television obscure your judgment and do not be afraid of what people think of you, otherwise you will spend your whole life trying to make others happy.
