150th aniversary celebrations at MU By Arpan Daniel Varghese, Trisha Mukherjee04/09/2007 Chennai,Sept 4: MCC participated in the 150th anniversary celebrations of Madras University wherein the western acoustics team represented the college.
All colleges affiliated to Madras University were invited. The cultural program consisted of devotional songs, Indian classical songs, Jazz and fusion dance by colleges such as MOP Vaishnav, Stella, WCC etc.

Radio1 at MCC By Arpan Daniel, trisha mukherjee23/08/2007 MCC, Aug 22: MCC played host to the RadioOne 'Campus Champions' looking for fresh talent in colleges, giving the students a feel of how it is to be an RJ. The team comprising of Arun Eashwaran, II BA Journalism, and Selvakumar, Chairman of the College Union Society, emerged as winners, and will thus be representing the college. They were one among the 19 teams of two who registered and tried their luck.

WORLD CLASS BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAM LAUNCHED. By Rishi Nair22/08/2007 MCC, Aug 21: The B.Com and BBA departments launched a lecture series under the title “Distinguished Speakers, Lecture Series” which was inaugurated here in MCC at the Anderson Hall by Mr.N.Vaghul, the chairman of ICICI Bank Ltd.
Mr.N.Vaghul, who then spoke to the students, was of the opinion that they should extract the maximum knowledge from lecturers like himself and also urged that they ask questions so that he could clear their doubts.
“Its up to you to ask questions and prompt me to speak”, he said.

The object is a ‘Sundial’, an instrument used to measure time, based on the position of the shadow of a solid structure, referred to as the ‘gnomon’, when the sun’s rays fall on it.
