All good things must come to an end; and so must the College Union of Kumararani Meena Muthiah College. The college held its Union Valedictory function on 13th February, 2008 at Chettinad Kalaiarangam, in the college premises. Mr. Gnani, the renowned Tamil Journalist, Writer, Critic, and Theater Person, was the Chief Guest for the day. Dr. Mrs. Meena Muthiah, Secretary and Correspondent of the college delivered the welcome address while Ms. P.V. Madhavi, Principal, delivered the Annual Report highlighting the various events over the academic year. more...

The Associations of the various departments of our college, keeping in mind that the purpose of education is to provide ample opportunities to bring out the latent talents to make an individual fit enough to face the challenges of a competitive society, organise programmes like workshops, quizzes, exhibitions, paper presentations, guest lectures, seminars both at the inter-department and the inter-college levels, and so on.more...

The theme of the inter-collegiate competition held on the 1st of February, 2008 by the B.Com. department was: “My dream product – Means to kindle young minds”. The teams had to conceptualize a new product/offering and make a PowerPoint presentation to the panel. The event got a huge response from prominent colleges in the city and altogether 18 colleges vied for the first prize. Students from the MOP Vaishnav College ended up winning the event. It was interesting to see the amount of effort each team had put in, the innovative ideas they had come up with and their presentation skills.more...
